Memorial Day Weekend BlogHop: Missing You Card

Today I’m participating in the Memorial day Weekend Blog Hop!

We were asked to make a “Missing You card for troops in active duty.  Here is mine.  I have to admit, I’m not usually a card maker but I wanted to challenge myself by participating and creating something specific.

  1. It looks just fine… but if it’s for OWH I hope that’s metallic paper and not loose glitter on the rosette. Glitter is dangerous (it flakes, peels, sticks to things, and shows up against clothing or skin) so we can’t put it on the cards.

  2. That edger punch is new to me but I love the effect… it almost creats a feeling of “fringe”. Thank you for participating in the OWH hop today and challenging yourself to do something you normally don’t.

  3. Love your bright colors and layers! Thanks for supporting Operation Write Home and stretching your talents into card making! Warning: it can become habit-forming (but in a good way!)

  4. And she says she’s not usually a card maker. Well it looks like a great card to me. As others have mentioned it can become addicting in a good way! Thank you for stretching out of your comfort zone and sharing with us.

  5. So patriotic looking Cara and you did a great job! It’s great so see so many cards are being made for Operation Write Home. It is also great to see so many people care for others.
Better get hopping…thank you for the share!
