Do you remember Mad Minute in elementary school? I rocked the house at it! Of course, my competitive nature and love of math (there are right answers!) certainly made it a preferred activity.
As a teacher, I can see the assessment uses of an activity like Mad Minute because it’s fluency and data tracking. That thought led to the creation of a musical version. As a starter I created eight sets of 8 that progressively get more difficult.
The first six sets have the same format.
3 WS of 18 notes.
2 WS of 27 notes
2 WS of 33 notes
and 1 WS of 44 notes
Sets 7 & 8 are more advanced with 45-60 notes
