Hi, not sure how to follow your blog, apart from the email subscription?
Cara, what part of Texas are you in? I noticed you said you are the only music teacher in your district. We have an AMAZING team of music teachers in my district, and we meet once a month to share ideas and plan events together. If you’re close, you could come join us sometime!
Hey, loved the blog. Wanted to send you an email but couldn’t find an email for you. Give me a shout out if you’d like. I’d love to connect.
Hey Cara! I absolutely love your posters, visuals and clip art. Can you tell me if this is a certain program that you use to create your visuals? I would love to know where to get it. Thanks so much!
I use powerpoint, surprisingly.
As a first year elementary music teacher, this blog is inspiring! I am starting one myself to document my first year. If you have any advice, let me know! :) Feel free to check out my blog at blissfullybruck.blogspot.com
I’ve been searching the web for favorite music teaching sites and really like yours! I’m part of a musical group that shares world culture with kids through music and I want to reach out and let you know what we do.
Along with traveling and releasing cd’s, our main performer DARIA (Daria Marmaluk-Hajioannou) has a website that won a Parent’s Choice Award for it’s resources for classroom and home music education. There are lots of hands-on crafts (Make Your Own Guiro, Bongo Drums, Dhol drum, Indian Ankle bells, etc.), lots of coloring pages and generally some really cool contest or freebie on the monthly song page – such as this one:
You can also always find all our free and paid resources on TPT at:
Would you like a cd to review or enjoy? Want to do a contest with us? Have some other fun idea? We’d love to connect with you. Drop us a line and let us know what you think!
And please feel free to follow us on TPT or sign up for our e-news. Many flash freebies and other goodies are only announced there!
Wishing you an awesome musical Fall!
